						<description><![CDATA[Good evening Bengal Families, this is Principal Zapata with your weekly message.<br><br>This week is a full week of school with no days off.  Please be reminded that we are a uniform school.  Black shirt and khaki bottoms.  <br><br>We will have random COVID testing this week.  Please enter your child's consent or refusal in their NYC student accounts.  If you gave consent last year, your consent automatically carries over until September 30th. <br><br>Before and aftercare will begin Monday, October 4th, but the number of seats is limited due to social distancing.  There will be cost increases due to new coronavirus regulations. Registration is now open there are very few spots remaining.<br><br>Stop and drop begins at 7:45am.  Please be reminded that at drop off, parents should not get out of their cars nor should they park in the drop off zone. We will open the doors and check the health screens for each child.  Walkers should have a paper copy or screen shot to show us.<br><br>This Friday is Bengal Pride Friday.  This week PTA will be selling ice cream. Black shirt and khaki bottoms.  <br><br>Parents please join your student’s Google Classroom - in event of a classroom closure or on inclement weather days, Google Classroom will serve as our virtual classrooms. <br><br>We will have random COVID testing this week.  Please enter your child's consent or refusal in their NYC student accounts.  If you gave consent last year, your consent automatically carries over to this September. <br><br>Before and aftercare will begin Monday, October 4th, but the number of seats is limited due to social distancing. 						<description><![CDATA[Good afternoon Bengal Families, this is Principal Zapata. <br><br> Welcoming you back for the 2021 school year! We cannot wait to see everyone in person on Monday morning.<br><br>For grades 1-5 Drop off will begin at 7:45am on the PAW Path on Slosson Avenue. Kindergarten students will report at 8:15am and meet their teachers in the schoolyard.  Pre-K 3 and pk4 students have a separate drop off on Victory Boulevard. Please be sure that students are wearing the appropriate color for their grade and have masks on and health screens completed. <br><br>Students DO NOT have to bring all of their school supplies in on the first day, they can bring a little at a time.  <br><br>Just a few reminders:<br>Class lists will be available on our website as of 5pm tonight.  You need to know your student’s first and last initial and the last 6 numbers of their OSIS (student ID).  There is a welcome letter from the Chancellor also going out detailing some important information. <br>All visitors must have proof of vaccination to enter the school building.  Please check the NYCDOE website for more information.<br>There is no school on Thursday September 16th.<br>Before and aftercare is scheduled to begin on October 1st, there will be a limited number of spots available and will be first come first served.  Due to construction within our building, aftercare will end at 5pm. <br><br>Please reach Mrs. Strange by email with questions.
